Sunday Sketches

I've been a bit slow in posting this week. Things are moving along in the studio. I just haven't taken any photos. **bad Jes**   But I am here with Sunday Sketches again. Just a couple of things I have in mind for the next week or so. I'd love to hear what you think.

Hopefully I'll have some actual dolls in progress for you tomorrow.

  2. I'm loving the sketches! Have you come up with a name for the bottom one? He's gonna be great :D

Oh and from the looks of your fairy wings... there were some seed pods I had bought in the floral department of Hobby Lobby that would look good. They're already dyed and you can bunch however many you want together at the base with floral tape, you can also do a thin line of glue along the top edge of each pod and shake glitter on 'em. I have a pair made for a future fairy and they're pretty cool looking. Just a thought for ya...

By the way.... I used my soldering iron this morning and it is awesome! lol So excited!
Where the arms are joined around the spine they are now tightly secured. I'm gonna use that 2 part epoxy putty to make the hip bones so it'll weight the butt down ;) Yayyy

Think I've had too much coffee!

  4. Thanks, Patti :) I'll get photos up as I get them started.

I don't have a name for him yet, Summer. The names usually come as I work on the piece. They kind of spill the details of their life and usually tell me their name in the process. I don't think I have ever made a piece that I had a name for before I started.

I'm glad the soldering gun worked. And the seed pods are a great idea :) I actually have some pods that I collected last summer that would probably be great for that. I'll make a note on the sketch. Thanks!

Fareydae, Thanks bunches! That means a lot coming from you :) I need to put more time into my drawing. Maybe when I get another 6 or 7 hours in my day. LOL

    Thanks for stopping by everyone!
