Dolls traveling everywhere!

After an absolutely insanely wonderful time during One World One Heart I guess I just dropped off the face of the earth. Sorry about that. I've been totally scatter brained for the last three weeks.

First I had to mail out B-Wilder to Dolly. She won B-wilder in the ADO drawing)  Tracking says she's there, so I'm hoping I'll hear from Dolly soon...

I'm working on Shelle's new doll for the OWOH give away. She's in Australia and I couldn't mail Tas-Elmish to her due to custom regulations. So I'm creating a doll just for her. No hints Shelle LOL It's going to be a surprise.

I also had to get my doll & journal finished for ADO's Traveling Art Doll Project 2011. This is my first year and I'm so excited to be a part of it.

Here's a quick chronicle of  my doll, who is currently on her way to Mary Palmer of Starry Nite Farms to "get herself together"

Here is how I started. I made a base head form and started building up the facial features. Just look at those big bright eyes!
OOPS!  Where did they go?

Here's what things looked like after I smoothed things out and opened her eyes back up.

Here it what it looked like after adding ears and detailing the wrinkles and such

And this is the finished product

She's off to Florida to visit Mary Palmer and find out more about herself and what she looks like.
I can't wait to see what Mary does with her.
You can keep track of Bent Willow Woman's travels on ADO's

Until next post...

  1. Awesome face...can't wait to see what happens next:)

  2. Wow, love the face, this is fantastic & seeing the process is magic :) Poor little Tas-Elmish :( I guess there are many other places he can live (but not as well loved ;)) I expect they would have done an episode of 'Border Patrol' on him if he made it across the Pacific LOL

  3. Hi Jesi! What a great idea & I love the face!

  4. Thanks, Mary Ann :) I'm really excited to see what happens with her too. I know it's going to be magical. The ladies in my group are very talented.

  5. I'm so happy like her, Shelle. Tas-Elmish is going to go back up in my Etsy shop. I'm so sorry the nasty customs people wouldn't let him come stay with you, but he has a friend that I'm sure will be happy to come live with you as soon as she gets herself pulled together. :)

  6. Hey! Piia! Welcome to OnceUponAMoon, my new OG friend! Thanks for stopping by. I'm really having fun with the Traveling Art Dolls. I hope you follow along with us to see what becomes of Bent Willow Woman.

  7. Love your dolls! Very imaginative and funny.

  8. Thank you so much, Shelly :) I'm so glad they made you smile.
